Travel Journals

It goes without saying that memories of trips and vacations fade with time. If you learn how to create a travel journal, this need not happen.

Traveling tends to be a schizophrenic event. On the one hand, there is a way you intended to take and may even be set up to the smallest detail. Then there’s the reality. Reality, of course, is what actually happens as you head perpendicular to the original plan your trip. This is a change that provides a unique fodder for your trip that you will want to remember for years. This is the place to keep a travel journal to be very valuable.

Journal of Travel

Keeping a travel journal is a simple task and worth its weight in gold. It is a given that you will forget about the funny little as years passed. I’ve lived and / or traveled in over 40 countries and forgotten more than I care to admit, that is how NomadJournals.com came into being. There’s nothing worse than remember with friends and do not remember what the heck they are talking about. This need not happen.

The good news is keeping a travel journal is a simple task. First you will need something to write in the Journal of the Nomad like us. Once you have it, the key is not so much what you write, but when you write it.

When traveling, there are more down time than any of us want to admit. Sitting at the airport, bus station and the hotel gives you plenty of time to write. The ideal time is just before hitting the sack when you have time to stop to reflect on the good, the bad and funny piece today. Because everyday holds interesting little adventure, try to write at least once ever two days.

The article itself does not need to be complicated. You write a journal for yourself. Do not worry about punctuation, grammar and so on. If you want to write a paragraph, then write a paragraph. If you just want to keep a record, then just save the record. If you want to doodle, because God’s love go ahead and doodle. You will not be judged!

Although you write for yourself, there is one bit of information you always have to write. When you meet someone while traveling, you tend to write down names, phone numbers and email addresses on things such as napkins, maps and brochures. Just like socks in the dryer, it will disappear mysteriously during your trip. If you make a travel journal, you will be able to FIND the information when you return from your trip. Just whip open a journal of your trip, find email address and you’ll have friends for life.
